Asher's eyes darted around in panic. He felt so freaking stupid. He knew he was at the wrong table. His yellow embroidered robes did NOT match the red ones around him. But now he was pretty much stuck here. He couldn't just stand up and walk across the hall. Everyone would know he had sat down at the wrong table. How embarrassing. He felt like a first year all over again. He groaned quietly, wondering what he was even going to do.

Where the heck was Raven? There were so many people he couldn't see her. Had she made it to the Slytherin table successfully?

What about Torin? Torin was the best friend Asher had at this school, and he couldn't see him through the gaggle of people either. He looked down at his empty plate miserably. On top of everything else, he was starving. He started to have a little pity party.

Torin needed to find Fyo. He needed to talk to his bestest friend. Especially after that speech that he just heard. He couldn't believe it.

The Forrester part didn't surprise him. But Nurse Avalon? Why had no one mentioned that sooner? He wondered where the woman was. He remembered that she was the only person that could cure Lynny last Term.

He slowly made his way over to the Gryffindor table but there was no Fyo in sight. He did see Asher however. But why was he over here? He didn't seem like he was talking to anyone there. "What are you doing here, dude?" he whispered in Asher's ear.

Asher nearly jumped out of his skin. His eyes had still been averted to his empty plate when Torin's voice had entered his ear out of nowhere.

"Ohmygod!" Asher said, relief coloring his tone. "I have no clue. Where is the Hufflepuff table even at?!" He laughed lightly even though he was super embarrassed.

Too much energy! TOO MUCH ENERGY! Can't....sit.....down....much.....LONGER!!! She hated it when that happened. When it felt like she was about to just shoot up from her seat. But right then, she felt like she was about to go straight to the moon. And sitting down only made her energy go even higher. She needed to walk....somwhere....anywhere....even if it was a short distance, at least it would be getting her overly bottled up energy out. So, what did she do? She jumped up, and started skipping around, whistling a little tune, her hair swishing side to side, a huge grin on her face.

Now...were to go? That was the question. She thought about going to the Hufflepuff table, but thought against that. Dominic Denton scared her too much. Hmm....maybe the Gryffindor table. They had happy, cheerful, unscary people there. So, skipping over, she looked around for a familiar face.

And ran right into the comic girl, Song.

"I'm sooooo sooooorrrry Comic gi-I mean Song."she said, feeling the heat start to climb to her cheeks. Note to self; don't call Comic Girl, Comic Girl in front of her face. She could remember that....hopfully. She looked down at the girls robes and smiled. "Your in Gryffindor! Congratulations! Personally I would have thought you would have been in Huffl-I mean, um....this house."she smiled sheepishly, cursing herself for being hyper to where she was now just spitting out the things that were on her mind. She took a deep breath, trying to look....sincere? "I think this house will be just right for you."she said, nodding and patting Song on the back. "They can protec-Um....teach you special things that will help you, otherwise I'm sure the hat would have put you in a different house...right?" Yeah...nice cover up Jenn. Very smoooooth.

"So, um....why don't we sit, here!" She pointed to a empty section of the tables, grabing Song's hand and draging the poor girl down to the area. "Then we can talk and become great friends! Sound like a plan? Good!" That was one thing about Jenn. Hyper+Overly Friendly Personality=You become her friend no matter what.

"Let's see... I mainly read the books off our school list, but I did go to Greece for two weeks with my godfather. It was a lot of fun and educational!" Em exclaimed. She always did love educational oppurtunities... "What about you LouAnn?"

It took a lot of effort not to laugh at Asher. He looked so silly. But he had to be nice. The guy was new. "It's the table where there are a lot of people wearing yellow, mate."

Asher could have kicked himself. Duh. He was wearing yellow. How come he hadn't thought of that? He looked sheepishly at Torin.

"What are you doing over here, then?" he huffed.

He patted Asher on the back heartily. He needed to learn how to take things as they came. Everyone was made a fool of occasionally. And at least he hadn't been ratted out for a crush on a Professor.

"My best friend is in Gryffindor. I came over here to find him. I wanted to talk to him about the speech."

Asher was beginning to feel more stupid by the minute. Had he been so dazed that he hadn't even realized a speech was going on.

"What speech?" he asked, his voice sounding thick and stupid.

"... The one the Headmaster just gave?" Seriously was Asher okay? Did he hit his head or something? He seemed a bit out of it.

"Dude," said Asher, his eyes wide, "I have been so out of it all day. I have no clue where Raven is. I was like so lost. I don't even know which one of those dudes up there is the Headmaster." He felt really, really stupid. "Can we just sit here for a while? I really don't feel like being the weird new kid who can't even discriminate between colors and figure out what table is the yellow table."

He laughed despite himself.

Lilly felt right at home as she walked into the great hall and sat down at the Gryffindor table. she hadn't seen any of her friends yet but she was sure that would come soon enough. she grabbed a roll and chowed down on it enjoying every bite she could savor of it.

Reese had wandered away from the Hufflepuff table, still not knowing why Xander had looked into her eyes and then needed to talk to Torin about that cake. It made no sense. Even though Xander said he only looked into them because they were pretty, she half believed that’s the reason he truly looked at them. Could you really tell something was wrong by looking into her eyes? She didn’t know that either. Looking down at her heels as she walked, she sighed deeply. She just wanted to go into her dorm and sleep.

She stopped walking and turned her head back towards the Hufflepuff table. Yet, she didn’t see how one night could get rid of this feeling she had towards him. He was just so…adorable. She turned her head back around and noticed that she had almost ran right into a few Gryffindors. Oops. She walked around them and went straight towards the door until she noticed Jack at his table surrounded by students. Oh, wow. He was quite popular.

As she stopped walking, she just stared at the boy she called her boyfriend. She honestly wanted to know why she use to have feelings for him, but now...but now she liked Torin. She bit her lower lip as she just stared at Jack from outside the little group, hoping that some of the feeling she use to have for him would just come back and hit her. But, nothing happened. No matter how long she stared at Jack Fritzera, her mind still wandered back to Torin's hotness.

Chris Potter looked around at all the Gryffindors and other students hanging around and having fun with each other. He had talked to alot of them and was having fun too. When a lull in the conversations came he turned to get a drink from his cup on the table.

Alexandra had come over to join a group of guys sitting down the table from her... She had to get past her shyness or this year would be dreadful! "Hi, I am Alexandra Kennedy," she said sticking her hand out to one of the older guys, "What's your name?"

"hey chris. i don't know if you remember me from last year, but we met briefly. i am lilly if you don't remember. so how was your summer? did you do anything interesting?" lilly said when she saw Chris get a drink

He blinked and stared as Rafe went on a little tangent and started speaking German. Blink blink. Jack laughed and shook his head. "Dude, I have no idea what you just said. I recognized 'ich' and that's I, right?" he said with a laugh. Aww, Jack really wished he was bilingual now.

"Shakespeare, in another LANGUAGE?" he asked. He had heard of the muggle bloke in tights in Muggle Studies class and tried to read a bit of it, but Shakespeare could HARDLY be considered English. "Blimey, I have enough issues reading him in english!" he chuckled. "I guess it all paid off, though, right? Since you're like...heptalingual?"

"Well, I guess if you say Vindictus is okay, then I shouldn't pass judgement," Rafe shrugged as he slipped on his shades. Rafe trusted Jack and why shouldn't he--he was older, had more experience, and was Quidditch captain. "That's what I thought! How on earth can he punish me when I wasn't even in school!? I mean...thanks man, that's really encouraging, I think I should hold back on some mischief," he raised an eyebrow that you could see slightly over his sunglasses, "Well for now." He rubbed his hands together and had a mischievous look in his eye.

"I guess that does make me heptaligual! Shakespeare knows his stuff though, I mean half the time I don't have a clue what he's saying too, but it does seem to work over with the ladies. But seeing all the girls flocking your way, you don't seem to have that problem," Rafe observed as girls from every direction seemed to be saying "hello" to the Quidditch Captain. "Bloody 'Ell! How do you handle it man?"

Ariana approached the table hesitantly, she wasn't sure if she could go there during dinner, but she wanted to say hi to Rafe, and after all there was a Hufflepuff on her table as well. While he wanted for an answer he heard a familiar voice from behind him. "Oy, it's Little Italy!" He took a moment and gave her a hearty hug. He shrugged and pulled down his glasses to the end of his nose and winked. He still hadn't had any effects...that would be later tonight and soon. "Well, they're not as stylish as yours were, but I think they're rather snazzy." Rafe caught a glimpse of Ari's robes. "Figures you would be in Slytherin. I was hoping, but something about having a lot of courage and I'm in the Lion's den. Can't complain though! This is quite a lively group!" He looked over his shoulders to his fellow Gryffies who were chatting it up still.

"Well, I would have let you known, but I couldn't find you...I was sitting on the roof of the front cars...I know it's dangerous! But, it was beautiful up there and I wanted to be one of the first to see Hogwarts! It was beautiful!" His hair was still a bit wind swept from the trip. "So, yeah, I didn't really talk to anyone on the train. Kept to myself."

Chris placed his drink back down on the shiny wooden table and turned to see who had just talked to him. He smiled brightly when he saw that it was a new Gryffindor. He loved to meet new members of his house. "Hello there, Alexandra! I'm Chris Potter, Gryffindor Prefect." he said happily as he shook the girl's hand.

Chris then saw another younger girl come up to talk to him, but this one he did recognize. "Yes Lilly, I remember you! We saw each other a bit in the common room here and there. How are you?" he asked grinning. "My summer was good, just went to the coast for a week or so and hung out at home. Did you do anything exciting?" he asked her kindly.

"i am good. glad to be back." lilly replied to his questioning of her well being. "that sound's cool about the coast! that would be very fun!!" she added enthusiastically. she was in a really good mood. "i didn't do much just went to camp but i was home the rest of the time." she told him. "so are you trying out for quiddich this year? i am going to try to make it on the actual team this year instead of back up." she told him.

Alexandra smiled shyly and bean fiddling with the sleeve of her robe. "Ah, Prefect, eh. Sounds quite daunting, but an admirable job nonetheless! I apologize I babble sometimes. Did I hear you say you are Quidditch Captain also?" Alexandra blushed deeply. You sound like an utter idiot, Alexandra she thought to her self.

Ari tilted her head at him " on the top of the roof of the train ?" she slapped the back of his head teasingly " Are you insane?" she asked, rhetorically. She then laughed, well.. guess boys will be boys.

"Yep, I'm a little snake now" she said, sticking her tongue at him like a snake " Something about achieving my goals no matter what and I sorta begged the old hat not to put me with my sister..." she covered her eyes, still smiling, she brushed some of her thick hair out of the way.

"I've met some nice people as well, it was been quite the journey .." she looked around his table and added " you're seem quite the group as well, that's good!" she managed to squeeze herself between the person next to Rafe, whose back was to him. She pinched his cheeks like a big old grandmother " Mah boy is such a star, look at all these little friends he has..." she said laughing " I've been watching you from my table, you're a star man!" . She reached for some bread and eat a mouth full, not very lady-ish-like.

Chris shrugged, "Oh well being at home can be fun too. That's what I did for the rest of the summer I wasn't at the coast."

He then heard Lilly ask him about Quidditch and then remembered that she had been a back-up for the Gryffindor team last term like he was. "Oh yeah, for sure I am defiantely trying-out this term! I practiced all summer that I was home! Jack said he will let us know when he sets the try-out dates." he nodded.

Chris laughed and ran a hand through his short brown hair. "Well it's not really that daunting. I really like to help people so it's fun for me. So if you ever need any help, just ask." he smiled. "Oh it's ok, a little harmless babbling doesn't hurt anyone. Quite a bit of my friends babble alot." he chuckled.

"Me the Quidditch Captain?" he laughed a bit. "Nope but thanks for thinking that. No, Jack Fritzera is the Quidditch Captain." he pointed over to Jack. "But I do plan on trying-out for the team this year." he nodded.

Oh my. All these Gryffindors ALWAYS wanted to get into trouble...like Legend. Hopefully, unlike the little second year, Rafe wouldn't yell at the professors anymore and would keep it to the traditional humor, like fake wands and spell check quills.

The LADIES? Jack blushed and laughed, pushing some hair out of his face. "Well, erm...this is all a bit new to me, ya see." he admitted. "It must be the badge...I got it in the middle of term last year sooooo I guess no one really got to see it as much...?" he muttered, looking at his badge again.

Ahh well, there was only ONE lady on his mind, and that was his girlfriend.

"The roof was the best seat in the house... no annoying little first years... oh yeah, I guess I'm first year," Rafe rubbed his chin and laughed. "Well, it's only been a matter of hours, but I feel like I'm lived at Hogwarts for years!"


"Well, I think Lions trump Snakes," Rafe said with a little growl. "I could gobble you up!" Rafe laughed roaringly once more.

"I've met the Gryffindor Quidditch Captain! He thinks I should try out! I'm so bloody excited!" Rafe crossed his arms and sit up more straight. Ari then squeezed in next to him. "Oy!" he shouted as she pinched his cheeks. "What about you Little Italy," he said as he ruffled her hair, "I'm sure you'll have some followers as well, and together..." he lowered his voice to sound more deep, "...we will rule the school!" He flexed his muscles and growled playfully. "So, you have been watching me, huh? Sounds a little stalker-ish! What will people think?!" He was being sarcastic of course. Him and Ari were like best friends in an instant it was a rare thing.

"So, have you run into Marilyn Force? I met her in Diagon. She's a sweet girl, I think you would get along." He blushed slightly has he grabbed a piece of bread and devoured it in a matter of seconds.

Rafe laughed at Jack blushing. "Hmm...badge, I guess it will take a couple of years before I have a shot at one of those...we will see!" Rafe was excited. He took a sip of pumpkin juice. He couldn't get over that it had just been his first night at Hogwarts, it felt like a lot over. He was looking over at the staff table. Everything seemed to be fine for now, but he knew the night was getting darker and it was only a matter of time.

Rafe watched as he called out to a girl named "Reese." She was quite pretty. "Ah, another fangirl?" Rafe nudged Jack.

Alexandra laughed too and began to relax for the first time since she got on the train, "I will be sure to come to you if I need any help oh Mighty Prefect!" Alexandra laughed heartily this time.

"OHHHH I love Quidditch, me mum and dad let me zoom around on their broomsticks a bit. I would love to try out meself!" Alexandra was beaming at the thought of Quidditch. "So, how are the Professors, I hear a few are quite scary..."
