"Congrads," Kairi said with a wink. She put the rest back in her pocket, she wouldn't put Travis through that pain again, she was ashamed of herself for giving them to him in the first place, "Here," she said, "I want to show you something," She took a deep breath and closed her eyes, placing her hands together in her lap. She opened her eyes, they weren't purple anymore, they were glowing white. She had control over it this time, but in the courtyard it had been different, she pushed that memory from her mind. Her glowing white eyes sweeped over Travis as the rain pelted down heavily down on the windows. The fire was dying down and she punched the air. A fire ball shot from her fist, reignighting the flames. She turned back to Travis, and then clutched her head in pain as her eyes went back to normal. She could have done more, but she didn't want to, it brought back memories of Chris, of the icicle, of the blood.

Curiously, Travis watched his new friend take a deep breath and close her eyes. He held in a small gasp as she opened them, now the color of white.

What are you? he wondered. And this time his eyes opened wide, for Kairi, red-haired first-year, had just shot a fire ball from her fist, reigniting the flames in the Gryffindor common room.

He swallowed and moved forward slightly as she clutched her head in obvious pain. He held himself, though, not sure if it would be a right move to try and help her.

Travis was silent for a moment, his mind whirling at the thought of Kairi having a gift. Well, if one could be turned into another species, Kairi can certainly have the gift of fire. He continued to watch her, speechless.

"I've never seen anything like that," he muttered slowly, still in awe of her ability.

Kairi looked at him, "Well then, you're lucky. Normally I have no control over it and the person who's watching gets hurt...badly," She felt a rush of memories come into her mind, of Chris, of the icicle, of the roaring monster inside of her...She pushed the thought from her mind.

It only took Allie about a half a second to realize why Astrid seemed so sad. She didn't want to say anything to give it away to Anna, though, because it was quite obvious Astrid hadn't talked to Anna about it. She gave her a quick hug, to let her know that everythign would be all right, and they would talk later.
SHe turned to Anna, to look at that book.
"Self-Destruct in three hours? Why?" she said. "If we need it, woldn't it be helpfull not to blow it up? I guess we better hurry up then! If its already been thirty minutes that means we only have like....two and a half hours left."

Cale rolled his eyes. "The Slytherins don't trust us one bit...in fact, we left because we were being ganged up on and basically attacked by all of them, even Will, who I thought was alright," he explained. "They were gonna turn on us, so I figure...why not get them back at their own game? If they're gonna play with fire--well, they're gonna get burned. Bad," he told her with a grin.

"Anyways, they're going to send a letter to the Minister, so we have to read these letters, take notes, and find something FAST," he added, grabbing the last two letters in the bunch. "We're gonna go straight to the Headmistress and warn her about the Slytherins intentions so they can be stopped. And, in the meantime, we try and find more people to help us. Perferably people from other houses--I have a feeling we need more house unity whosy whatsit like last term, so we need to recruit more Ravenclaws, Slytherins, and Hufflepuffs. Watch those Slytherins, though...pick someone we KNOW we can count on, like...Reese! She'd be good!" he suggested, turning to Anna to see what she thought of this. "Also, it might be best to avoid untrustworthy Slytherins for the time being...they're not going to get very far if they're Gryffindorless!"

As he had been speaking, his hands had been moving wildly in the air as always and a small scrap of paper fell out of his stack. Snatching it up, Cale examined it and immediately took note of how it was on different parchment than the rest of the letters.

"Hey, what do you make of this?" he asked, passing the note and the letter it had fallen out of onto the table for the rest of them to see.

"Want one?" Chalice asked holding out the box of chocolates. Sure, Nate was usually mean to her, but he wasn't too bad. Plus she would offer anyone one no matter who they are and weather they are nice or not.

"No thanks." Nate said to her. "I have my muggle food."

"You have muggle in you? Which side mom or dad? My dad is a muggle and my mom may as well be." Chalice said.

Chris strolled into the common room and saw Chalice and the boy for the dorm Nate "Hey Guys." Chris felt bad ever since he and Kairi had to break up.

Astrid listened closely as Anna explained her plan to Cale. She was glad for the chance to busy herself with such a mundane assignment. Copying these letters down would be a lovely distraction from what she was feeling being in the same room with Anna. Just relax! She told herself forcefully. Let it go already! She took a deep breath, ready to do just that, when Anna said his name.

It was like a fresh slap in the face. Did she just not care? She thought. Or did she think I hadn't been told? The whole castle knew by now! She looked over at Allie again, wishing that they could just leave but knowing they had a job to get done. She gave her a sad smile and said, "Sit next to me okay."

When she finally turned to look at Anna, the only thing she could manage to say was, "I'm fine." Changing the subject, she added, " We have work to do. We should get started."

"My mum." he said being short and putting his things back in the box

"Hey." Chalice got up and hugged him. She turned to Nate. "Oh cool. What is your favorite food? Maybe if you are nice to me I will make it for you if I can."

"So whats been going on with you?' chris asked Chalice

"Nothing much, just been chillin. I did the potions homework so that, but other wise not much." she answered. "How about you? You don't seem very happy."

Chris motion her over to the couch and sat down "Me and Kairi broke up. We didnt want to but did you hear about the fiasco in the courtyard yesterday? If you didnt Kairi lost control of here gift and destroyed half of the courtyard and did this to me." he motioned to his arm in the sling. "Anyway im not mad at her i love her too much. But she only broke up with me because she didnt want to hurt me. Its really confusing." he sighed

"I'm sorry. Is there anything I can do to make you feel better?" Chalice said hugging her friend gently as not to hurt his arm.

"its ok your helping me now i just need a friend." he said smiling

"Okay, do you just want to talk? It always makes me feel better."

" Sure I ll tell you how it happened we were sitting in the coartyard when all of a sudden she shot a fireball at me i dodged it behind a pillar then she broke the pillar. The groundskeeper ran over and yelled at her and she shot an icicle at me and it shot me in the arm and hit an artery."

"OH MY GOD!!!!" Chalice said surprised. That was terrible, but she knew it was an accident, Kairi wouldn't intentionally hurt anyone especially Chris.

"I know right i knowshe didnt do it on purpose."

"Yeah, Kairi would never intentionally hurt anyone. Especially you." Chalice said. "Is your arm okay though?"

Chris walked into the common room. He noticed before anybody else Lucas. "Hey dude." He said walking up to him. "Where the hell have you been?" Chris asked him.

"Yeah its okay it hurts a little though."

"I bet. I'm glad your okay." she said.
