Are you an aspiring writer with a great story to tell? Can you fit it on a A5 card? Waterstone's has let us know they are holding a competition for budding writers – of all ages – to win a chance to appear alongside J.K. Rowling's latest Harry Potter prequel, and other famous writers' short stories, by having their tale published in What's Your Story.

All entries must be 600 characters or less. There is only one entry per person and all entries must be submitted online by June 19. The three lucky winners will be notified on July 2. Full rules can be found at the contest link above by clicking on Terms and Conditions at the bottom of the page.

Winners under the age of 18 will receive a £500 Waterstone's gift certificate; those 18 and over will receive an Arvon Writing Course.

What's Your Story can be preordered now online at Waterstone's here for £5 (about $10 U.S.), and they deliver internationally. All proceeds from the book will go to charity.
