for the seekers of creativity among us
Over a decade ago, illustrator Jake Parker began with a simple concept and challenge to himself: each day in October make a drawing in ink. This simple concept has evolved into the worldwide endeavor that unites thousands of artists from around the globe known as Inktober. Inspired by this creative challenge and with our own wizarding world twist, Snitchseeker’s Gladrags Wizardwear forum is pleased to bring to you Seektober!
Just as is the spirit of Inktober, Seektober is a challenge to improve upon your own individual artistry, help discover your own style, stretch your creativity a little, and just have fun creating.
How do you participate? All you have to do is create!
No matter your creative process or whatever you want to hone your skills in (whether that be colored pencils, watercolors, acrylic paint, digital art, graphic making, calligraphy, typography, and beyond), these prompts are open to your interpretation. There are only right ways to participate here!
Read on to find out more about how to participate as well the details of specific challenges
If you are interested in learning about and participating in Inktober, please visit the Official Inktober site

A title! This can be whatever you’d like it to be. We suggest including your username in the title so people know its yours when it pops up on the side bar
The Seektober 2020 prefix! There is a drop down menu beside the "Title" field. Make sure to highlight the Seektober 2020 option.

No plagiarizing. At all. Anyone found plagiarizing will have their Seektober 2020 thread removed and will receive a site warning/infraction. Just don’t do it
We know that creativity waxes and wanes, tis part of the creative process. The provided prompt lists are a set of guidelines that you do NOT have to do in order. If it is day 2 and you are feeling particularly inspired by something on day 15, go for it. Feeling drained and end up missing a day or two (or more - it happens)? Also not a problem and you can do multiple prompts in one day as necessary or set aside a day or two to marathon through them all. The point of Seektober 2020 is to nurture your creativity and try to encourage good creative habits!
.
Become an admirer and creative cheerleader:
Utilize the evaluation station to talk about Seektober and other’s creations!
Or post directly into any member made threads commenting on their creations and cheering them on as they tackle the month’s challenges!

The Aparecium 30 Day Challenge is a creative challenge revealed by you, the creator. How does that work? It is quite simple. From the other challenge prompts (Potter, Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, Slytherin) you select any 30 prompts that speak to you. Then the process is the same, take a prompt a day to create something daily inspired by a single prompt. You can take as many or as few as you like from each list as long as the total number comes to 30! There is no obligation to make something every single day, it is simply a goal to aim for. Whether you create daily, once a week, marathon all 30 in a weekend, and everything in between, the process is up to you and the important thing is that you are having fun and enjoying your own creative process!
