Drew took his hand away from her mouth and sat up though only to hug her. "It's okay though. You being here is comfort enough." He said kissing the side of her head. "Just never do that again alright?" He asked chuckling softly.
Annie listened to Drew. He was really putting this situation harder than ever to solve. And yes, it was going to make her cry. "Okay, I promise to not ever joke about this again. And stop trying to comfort you with jokes." That was her promise, though he had just said that her being there for him was enough comfort as it was.
