O...kay? So maybe it wasn't a funny subject to Nia. Why it wasn't, Vashti didn't know, but obviously she wasn't going to ask. More unhappiness equaled bad, so she wasn't going to bring anything like that up.

"I'm sure it was," she told JD with a small laugh before he began explaining once more about the pie he had with him. Although now, it kind of struck her as...what was the word? Weird? Weird, for lack of a better word, that the professor would only accept the apology if JD gave a pie to his Head of House. Vashti didn't pretend to know what went through Professor Lafay's mind. But still...
