But then he smirked, "Oh, I beg to differ, and I believe Tiberius would agree with me..." his face held a sad expression all of the sudden, "...if he was still here" yeah, he wasn't. He'd left. So, since he's no longer here, then it's his word against Melanie. It was a battle no one would ever win, really.

Er, what? "Flying elephants don't exist, but good for you and your use of imagination!" yes, he was still hurt by that first comment, even if he did deserve it a bit, "I mean, I don't think they exist..." he started to say, in a more softer tone, "...because I've never seen one, but I've never seen a Thestral and I do know they exist...perhaps you should just use a hippogriff or a dragon" he'll go with the hippogriff, totally.
