"I think my parents are sending me to Finland so I can stay with my grandparents, they want me to continue studying during summer." He wasn't particularly excited about this. They lived in an old shack in the middle of nowhere. The view was beautiful and Eino did enjoy getting lost in the woods, but there wasn't anyone to do anything with. And on top of that, Eino didn't know enough Finnish to communicate with his grandparents.
