i COMPLETELY agree with you. those were actually some of the things i hoped would be more apparent in the film.
but at the same time, i'm glad that they cut out this "tender" scene between ron and hermione because already there is so much being revealed about their budding relationship, that anymore would've been too much.
(it would've taken away from their final kiss)
