Baht-ley - The Sweetest - TEAM 947!

Underneath the scarf was exactly what Melanie thought would be underneath the scarf: The unattractive, plastic face of the dummy. Shrugging her shoulders, Melanie came to the conclusion that the scarf probably had to do something with the dummy's theoretical injury. It was a dummy after all. Maybe it tried to eat the scarf and accidentally strangled itself with it instead.

Feeling a little silly, Melanie felt for a pulse on it's wrist and then leaned down to listen for breathing. There was none, disappointingly... which meant she would have to give it CPR. Melanie was not looking forward to it, either. She frowned thoughtfully, taking a few moments to recall how CPR was done. Then, not wasting any more time thinking about it, Melanie positioned the heel of her hand on the middle of the dummy's chest and put her other hand on top. She interlaced her fingers.

Then she began the chest compressions, all the time keeping a song in her head she'd once heard went to the right rhythm...

Stayin' Alive, anyone? It wasn't too hard to remember considering what CPR was for. It was kinda ironic considering she was attempting to help a dummy wasn't and probably never had been alive, though.

After she thought she had about 30 compressions Melanie propped the dummy's chin up, pinched it's nose together, inhaled and breathed into its mouth. She took another deep breath and did the same thing before starting the chest compressions again. If she felt silly trying to feel for a dummy's pulse earlier she felt absolutely ridiculous trying to get one to breath.
