Some spoilers here... you have been warned

I saw the movie yesterday and as an older (27) Potter fan, I really enjoyed it. Some images in this movie are not for kids, however they do happen in the book. It is fairly accurate for a movie adaptation & the special effects and cinematography were brilliant. The movie has a darkness that the other movies lack, which is important as most of the original HP readers have grown up with Harry and are mostly young adults now. I don't think the movie works as a stand alone film although I suppose it's not meant to anyway. I saw it with a friend who hadn't read DH and she was a bit lost, mainly because so much back story is passed over extremely quickly (especially Harry's visions of Voldemorts actions). For me it was the best Potter film despite remaining incomplete, Part 2 has a lot to live up to.

Pros:
- Snape entering Malfoy Manor
- George Weasley & his toothbrush (got the biggest laugh)
- Kingsley's patronus
- Ron constantly playing with the deluminator
- Ron's alienation & moodiness
- Harry & Hermione dancing, I thought it gave some light to the dark emotional place they were in.
- the silver doe was nicely done
- the 3 brothers narration *loved it*

Con's

- the 7 Potters was over in like, a minute!
- the lack of attention to Rita Skeeter's book
- Godric's Hollow (no Potter memorial)
- lack of back story on the Deathly Hallows (wand, stone, cloak), this may come up in part 2
- Ron's explantion about what's happening at home, Hogwarts, family, taboo etc. was missed
- Where the hell was Potterwatch?!?!?
- Grindelwald was very under used. I don't even think people will remember him for part 2.

I'm sure there's loads more, but that's all I'll write for now.
