Hey Heather!

Another great chapter! I am thoroughly enjoying Ella, as the forth in a once intimate group of three. You have done wonders with her character.

Your writing is very realistic, and when Sirius pulled Ella up to dance in an almost playful manner, it was quite easy to imagine. I always thought Sirius had a bit of the devil in him, as witnessed by his friendship with James.

I am also really enjoying the friendship which has developed between Ella and Severus. All through JK’s book, I readily hated Snape and his attitude toward the Gryffindors, but you have successfully brought out the humanistic side he must have surely shared with Lily back when they were younger. I love this almost kind side of Snape.

I have one question for you... Why would Jenny be so concerned about her sister, even calling for her, only to leave her to sit alone in the corner? I know it’s in Ella’s personality to stand alone, but in this case, she’d been having a conversation with Snape...

Ohhh... another thing I really liked was the idea of Mr. and Mrs. Weasley dancing together! Don’t ask me why, but to me, this was a truly important and visual part of your chapter. To me, Arthur and Molly are the purest example of true love.

Speaking of the Weasleys... I think Molly is the greatest mother in the world! I can just picture the kids all shuffling off, claiming to be exhausted, just so they won’t have to help with the clean-up! Typical teenagers! So, here’s another question I’m curious about... Why didn’t Molly just wave her wand and have the room cleaned in mere seconds? Was there a lesson in there somewhere?

Next... Ella’s embarrassment during classes, after the Malfoy incident. I really liked the picture you were able to portray of Ella. I was, however, annoyed at McGonagall’s rather cavalier attitude. Imagine centering Ella out after what she’s been through! I just wanted to poke the old bat!

Now, Snape... Snape was my hero after he, I thought, finally punished Malfoy in the appropriate manner. That you were able to punish him in such a way, as to embarrass him as much as he’d done Ella, was too good! I think it’s about time Malfoy got what he was due! Yay, Snape! I also thought it was hilarious that Ella felt humiliated rather than satisfied by Malfoy’s punishment.

Lastly... Where are you going with the ‘Ella/Birth Certificate’ idea? I found it very mysterious and intriguing... I know you are going to have an excellent story line behind it, and can’t wait to find out where you’ll be taking us next in your story! I have a head full of potential ideas and wait, rather impatiently, for your next chapter!

Great chapter, Heather, and like I said... I CAN”T WAIT for the next chapter!
