Allie Carlton glanced down at the small piece of parchment she'd received only seconds earlier. It was a letter from her sister, Lexi, letting Allie know that she'd be seeing her very soon. Allie knew the school term was quickly coming to an end, so it wasn't unlikely that her sister would be making plans to head home.

Just then, the door opened, bringing it with it the smell of fresh coffee. Glancing up, Allie was met with Martel D'Isigny, who had sure enough brought her a steaming cup of coffee. "Oh, why thank you. This is just what I needed," she said, giving him a small smile before taking a sip of the drink.

As soon as she was done, she placed her cup on the desk, and then turned her attention to Martel. She watched expectantly as she waited to hear what he had to say.
