Default Runes Final

Step into the runes classroom for the final, and you see that it has been divided into two portions, courtesy a pretty curtain.

The first portion is - for the first time in the history of this term's Runes' classes! - like a normal classroom. Desks are arranged in neat rows, and sheets of parchment, colourful inks and anti-cheating quills are placed at each desk. Take a seat, and pick up the parchment at the very top. It reads:

Runes Final
Theoretical exam

1. For each meaning, give the name of the rune that it is corresponds to, and vice versa: [3 points]

Ice:
Cattle:
Elk:
Mannaz:
Wunjo:
Sun:

2. Pick a rune. Describe a scene or way in which you can use it to protect either yourself, or something that needs protection. [4 points]

2. Discuss Jera and Dagaz. What do you know about these two runes? You may point out similarities and differences. [3 points]

3. Name the five Quileute runes and discuss the importance of one of them for the Quileute tribe. [4 points]

4. Bonus question! Suggest at least two things you'd like to learn, next term, in Runes class. [2 points]

OOC: This is worth sixteen points. The answers should be PM'ed to me, Maxilocks. You can include your member ID in the PM, but it's no big deal if you don't. Just remember not to post the answers here. ^__^ If you have any questions, please do PM me.

Once you have completed the theoretical portion, please turn over your paper and cross to the other side of the classroom. Here, a podium has been set up in front of a semi-circular arrangement of seats. Professor Markovic sits in the middle, and waves at you as you enter.

A huge poster has been stuck to the podium. It reads:

Please sit down and prepare a speech on:

a) The History of Runes

OR

b) Uses of Runes in the Magical World

OR

c) Any rune of your choice [you may discuss its origin, uses, applications in daily life and so on]

Once you have done so, come up to the podium and present your speech. It speech should be at least 200 words. This is worth fifteen points, with a chance to earn up to five points extra credit.

Once you've made your speech, you may head back to your common room, or stay back to staaaare at others and make them nervous.

OOC: As long as you've PM'ed me the answers to the first part, it's no big deal if you don't RP your character taking the theoretical portion of the exam. [You caaan if you want to, but 'tis not necessary]. But you have to RP your characters coming up to the podium and making their speeches, to get the full credit for the practical portion.

All PM's should be in, and all speeches posted, by Nov 23, 5 AM GMT at the latest. I know I've accepted a lot of laaate submissions in the past, but I won't this time, simply because the term is going to end and there won't be any time to enter the points. So yes, time is of the essence.

If you still have questions, please PM me. && thank YOU for such an awesome term. *HUGS* <33
