Selena blushed at that. "I remember when I first met you, you said your mother was," she said jokingly. She knew she wasn't the most beautiful girl in the world. She knew it. But being with him made her feel like it.
She nodded, not unlike him, and smiled. "I know, and I promise you that I'll always love you," Selena said. And Selena rarely ever made promises too. Gasp. The world was ending. Selena nodded again. "Of course," she said, feeling the slightest chills when he whispered in her ear.
He shook his head.
"You have a place in my heart that my mom can never fill." he told her. Yes his mom was still beautiful and would be till the end of time, but for him Selena out shined even his mom.
He smiled down at her.
"You want to go sit down." He took her left hand and laced his fingers through hers. His warm hand touching the cool silver band around her finger. It made him smile all over again. When she was done with Hogwarts he was going to replace that band with an engagement ring. It gave him a shiver to think about the day when he would ask her to marry him.
"I don't think my skivvies and this costume are getting along," he said finally leaving his daydream and coming back to reality.
