As usual, Harry was already up and ready before any of the rest of his family had woken up. He could have slept in for a little bit longer, but he'd gotten into the habit of getting up earlier than needed, initially to ensure he wasn't late for work; now, however, he rather liked the quietness and solitude of the early morning before his wife and kids woke up and the - often - chaotic yet wonderful day began. It was during this time that he usually put on a pot of tea so that Ginny could have a cup if she wanted once she finally woke up.

Harry seated himself at the kitchen table, facing the window that displayed the sunrise, and let himself get lost in his thoughts.
