Personality: Luna always beleives in the strangest of creatures, even with proof they don't exist. She means well, but has a habit of speaking the direct truth, whether it is nice or not. In later years she has become a bit more down-to-earth, but continues to insist that she will some day find a Crumple-Horned Snorkak.
Background: Luna is the only child of Xenophilius Lovegood. Her mother died when she was only nine years old. Many of her ridiculous notions come from her father, who was the editor of the Quibbler, a magazine known for saying crazy things.
Later Life: Luna married Neville Longbottom and had twin sons, Lorcas and Lysander. She became a naturalist and discovered many new creatures, though has still not proved the existence of the Crumple-Horned Snorkak. (Or Nargles, for that matter.)
