Fletcher had become distracted by his people-watching and attempting to spot all the costumes around. There were just soooo many it was... dizzifying. Yeah, that was the term.
He had no idea that he had said anything to offend Danika until Salander had some sort of reaction. OOPS! Maybe it would be best if he didn't say anything for a while... except he did have a surprise for a few of his friends. So... Fletcher pretended not to hear all the chitter chatter around him as he thought of how to say what he wanted to say, though he did smile and wave back to Cosette and smiled also at the other champions' arrivals.
"Rae," the Glitterpuff whispered suddenly, leaning in toward his date's ear. "Do you think it would be weird if I," held your hand? "made a toast?"
He really really wanted to.
