There was no need really, there would be more students arriving soon. Or so he hoped anyhow. "Hello, Evelyn." Then with a hand gesture that took in the whole classroom he added, "I think you get to pick your seat today." Something made him guess said seat was going to be in the waaaaay back of the classroom. And there they were. More students. Or rather student. "Morning, Salander." He greeted him before...Huh?! Jeremy threw Salander a surprised while at the same time rather shocked look at the boy's suggestion. "Merlin, no! No joint lesson with Professor Saylen, sorry." No joint lesson EVER. Unless he was allowed to leave before the CoMC part started, then maybe. Though, still, no rather not. And more Slytherins. Not that he had anything against them - by far - but he would have welcomed a little variety in his class. Though, there hopefully WOULD be more than three students attending this lesson. "Hello, Marie."
He was just about to turn his attention back to the chalk in his hands when he heard the girl's question. CPR? This one knew what she was talking about. Unfortunately for them, Jeremy did not miss the look the two sent Salander which caused a small grin to flash across his lips. Maybe he should let them perform a little CPR on each other after all. Heh. Staaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaare!
Another one had arrived. No, she had ARRIVED. In capital letters. There was no other way to describe it. His hazel eyes followed the girl - what was her name again? - as she finally entered the class room and...wiggled his fingers at him. Err. Was he supposed to wriggle back? If it hadn't been for the fact that he was a professor and probably not supposed to wriggle his fingers at students, he would have. Totally.
But as it were he settled with a small smile. He almost went check his classroom door for gum when he spotted Arya entering. Though, he probably would have heard it. Hehe. Or not, because he had been to occupied with the Bott girl to pay attention. Either way, Jeremy smiled at the Hufflepuff warmly and greeted her back, "Hey Arya." Finally more people from other houses, apart from Slytherin. The sudden appearance of a bright yellow blobgirl made him blink a couple of times before he refocused his eyes again to find himself looking at..."Lexi. Good day to you too." And now she was tickling the teddy bear...causing it to topple over. Jeremy reached forward to put it back into an upright position while the Gryffindor went to take a seat. ...
Treyen seemed so...different. Not his usually bouncy self. Jeremy couldn't help but frown slightly, not directly because of Treyen but rather because of whatever made him feel that way. "Hello, Treyen." He greeted the boy with a smile nonetheless, making a mental note to ask him about the skateboards after class (which his owner never actually RPed but we shall just assume he gave him instructions. xD) He wondered how that was going...and if the groundskeeper had already caught him trying it out.
Hopefully not. "Hello Jaxon." He greeted the Gryffindor boy before turning to answer his question, "I'm good." Ish. "Thanks, how're you?" Jeremy glanced up at the boy, away from the half-open window at the back of the class where he had watched an owl fly by...to make sure it actually flew BY and not have any weird ideas about flying INTO the classroom. Which reminded him, he had never gone to look if the owl from his joint lesson with Fina had made it 'home' safely. Oh well. "America, really? How was it?" He replied with a grin at the boy's explanation of his previous absence in class. "I'm Professor Jeremy Zookara. And your name is...?" With a smile he waited for the Slytherin to respond. ...did the girl think the teddy was going to jump up and attack her? At least that was how it looked when Jeremy watched Cass eying it suspiciously before taking one of the red bags. "Hello Cass." And no, teddy bears aren't dangerous. Jeremy couldn't help but chuckle when Mia addressed the teddy, shaking his head in amusement. "Hello Mia." He had even reached out to waggle the teddy back and forth a little like it was talking. Okay, that was probably silly but whatever. That was him. Snort. "Kurumi! Nice to see you." Jeremy addressed the girl with a grin, leaning back in his seat slightly. Unfortunately, there probably wasn't anything to draw in this class for the Gryffindor. Shame. Though, she might come up with something after all, who knew? He returned the smile the girl gave him warmly and greeted her, "Hello Emmy." Watching her taking a seat next to Treyen, Jeremy wondered briefly if she was in on the skateboard thing but shrugged it off. Whatever. He had told Treyen not to try it at Hogwarts...or had he? "Hello, Freya. I'm...good." He couldn't quite hide the slight hesitation in his voice upon answering her question. Trying to cover it with a grin he returned the question, "How are you?" Jeremy noticed that the girl had neither taken a seat nor a red bag he nodded at the latter with a small smile, "Go ahead, take one and have a seat. Class will begin soon." And more Slytherins started filing in. This class certainly seemed to be dominated by the Snakes. Hecate would be so proud. "Hello Dianna." He greeted the girl before turning to face the door again, waiting for more students to arrive. Jeremy just blinked at Destiny's sudden enthusiasm. And she wasn't even killing a walnut with a baseball bat. Maybe she wasn't that crazy after all. "Err, sure, Destiny." He simply replied, too surprised to object, though, then again why should he? If she wanted it so badly.
Maybe he was going to give her a nutcracker along with the teddy bear, you know, just in case. ...and there was Trixie. Well, there weren't going to be any baseball bats involved in this class so there was no need for him to be cautious around her. Now that he got to think of it there wasn't really anything remotely dangerous about this lesson. Or so he hoped. "Hello Trixie." He greeted the Slytherin with a grin from behind his desk as he watched her take one of the first-aid kits and eye the teddy bear fondly. Maybe he should just duplicate them and hand them out after class. Why he had brought it along, he wasn't sure, he had just found it somewhere in his office and decided it would sort of go along well with the lesson. Another one who apparently thought the teddy was cute. Well, Destiny had been first to mention it soooooo. "Hey, Vashti." And they were all so well-behaved, each picking up a first-aid kit on their way towards a vacant seat. N'aww, they all seemed to be so excited. "Hello, Amy." Jeremy greeted the girl, finally getting up from his seat to walk around the desk and lean against it as he waited for the last few students to arrive. Class was going to start soon. Jeremy watched the girl approaching his desk with a smile on his lips, expecting her to say hello or something. Which she didn't. Smile faltered, he noticed her eyeing the teddy before simply taking a seat. "Hello to you too." He couldn't help but comment rather sarcastically with his eyebrows slightly raised. Were those...Jeremy blinked at the two girls who had just entered the classroom, positively surprised by their willingness to attend this class. "Welcome, please have a seat, class will begin in just a minute." Like, now actually. He was quite happy about the fact that the two Durmstrang girls seemed to have thought it to be a good idea to attend his class. Now everybody should be here. At least, enough people were for him to start the lesson. Straightening up, he pushed himself away from his desk to stand in front of the class, a smile on his lips. "So, for all those of you who don't know me, I'm Professor Jeremy Zookara." Though, they SHOULD all know him by now. If not, they had been very unattentive throughout the year. Apart from Aaron, obviously. "I hope everybody took one of these." He held up one of the red first-aid kits slightly to emphasize his point. "If not, please do so now." He waited for a moment giving the students a chance to get one if they hadn't already done so. "Now, anybody care to guess what this class is going to be on?" It was probably so obvious he could have just written it on the board but whatever. OOC: Class has now officially started. No chatting or arriving late or you risk losing house points.
Kurumi's hand rocketed up in the air. " Professor, I believe that we will be learning about how non-magical folk treat injuries and illness?" She smiled and put her hand down. She looked at the teddy bear. " Are we going to practice first aid and bandaging on the teddy bear?" If that was the case, less chance for mummy looking students.
