Less numbers adding together at one time, ultimately would be the end result. Which meant less chances for accidentally missing a number . . . or something.
Kurumi looked up from her work and blushed red like a tomato. The professor did have a point, but she was just used to adding things up in a straight line without breaking things down into smaller parts - at least, that is how she had been trained to do math in her muggle school. Kurumi nodded to the professor shyly and wondered if she should completely start over when she looked back at the board to see that the professor had broken things down into smaller bits...She was pretty sure she had done the calculations correctly...but now she was freaking out, on the inside of course. "
P-P-Professor...are my calculations wrong?" she asked in a timid voice.
Kurumi flew back to her parchment and scratched out her previous work to mimic the method the professor had written on the board.
Breathing huge sigh of relief, Kurumi set down her quill. At least now she knew that she was correct in her original calculations!
