He had to remember not to do so again. His eyes felt on his forgotten lamp next to him, and shook his head, "It's just a story" and yes, he understood that stories must have some true to them, but...they weren't getting genies, were they? They were getting ghosts.
Ellie shrugged.
"I don't really know 'the' story anyway. I just know that a genie is supposed to come out." And as for all the ghosts...
"Maybe all these genies were set free. The ghosts are just coming out to humor us."
She looked down and continued to rub her lamp. Still. Something would happen.
"Why were you rubbing yours, then? Just before." She asked, keeping her eyes on her lamp.
