Risu slipped into the Hall nearly unnoticed. A barrage of colourful costumes came at him from every direction. Students and foreign guests mingled freely, almost all were dressed up in an elaborate fashion. If a fire broke out, only a handful of people would be able to escape, he guessed.
His own costume was rather nondescript Not, in fact, a costume as such. His wardrobe was nothing to get excited about in any case, and it certainly did not include anything fancier than a set of dress robes. So Risu had been forced to... improvise. He did so in his characteristic way.
He'd turned his clothes inside out. Tags were flapping when he moved, and seam lines were clearly visible. Risu actually liked the effect - he was pretty sure he was already known for his fairly casual approach to, well, pretty much everything, so an impromptu costume such as this did fit.
Nodding cheerfully at his colleagues, he sat down at the end of the table where a seat was available, and glanced around for something to drink. He flapped an arm of his robes absent-mindedly, and futilely, to dislodge the white washing instructions label at the end.
