Maybe Neptune's dance stride wasn't as long as it would have been with a different dress, but Kellen just shortened his own steps to match. The last thing either of them wanted was for one of them to look out of place while dancing.

"I'm a storybook mermaid." DUHHHH. "The sort that would trade in her fins for a handsome, available prince....," Neptune was doing her faraway daydreaming voice. Hogwarts had a serious shortage of Princes.

"... or maybe a pirate in a big hat." Giggle.
