Lexi sighed and shrugged again. "I appreciate it Carter, I really do. I don't think any of that would work on Dylan at all. He is never wrong. In his mind everything he does is justified in some twisted way. He is hopeless I am afraid," she said rather sadly. She wished everything was as simple with Dyl as it was with Freddie.

She pushed her fringe from her face and smiled weakly at Carter. "You really are a good friend, Carter. Thanks so much for listening to me ramble and whatnot," she said with a chuckle.

"Sorry I couldn't be of more help." Carter said. "If you want I could try talking with Marie about it. You know, remind her that he's taken or something." He then shrugged. He wasn't sure what good it would do, but it was worth a shot, right? Besides, Marie had been out of control lately. Someone needed to say something to her.

"Not a problem. I've been told I'm a pretty good listener." he said with a little chuckle. "I'm here whenever you need it."
