Well, that was a bad lie, but having to remind someone to breathe was kinda funny. Wait, it wasn't funny? Pfffft. "On the contrary, Miss Rayne. It was veeery funny." He laughed again, just for good measure, but stopped abruptly. She might hit him. Again.
