Evan gathered all the stuff needed for the potion as he listened to Raiden and professor. Wait--did Raiden spend most of his time in St. Mungo? He didn't know that... sure, how would he know, but still... and judging by the looks of people, he could guess it took most of the people by surprise too. He wondered why he was admitted to St. Mungos. And listening to his argument, he thought that he was right--phoenix tears were too worthy to use in such a stupid potion in a class which tended to screw up every kind of potion. He couldn't believe the professor was letting them use it. What a waste... though, seeing Raiden was silenced rather effectively even though he couldn't hear what was said, he decided to keep silent too. And not add the phoenix tear if he could.

Going on with the potion, he grunted to himself upon hearing the instructions. He hated the mortar and pestle thing. It always tired out his arms, and they weren't that easily exhausted. Sighing, he grinded the yellow moonstone to a powder and sprinkled it into his cauldron with his left hand, as his righ stirred the potion. Hopefully, they didn't have to stir that long either, because after grindling stirring just multiplied the pain.

And just as his right arm gave a painful note, he reached for lacewing flies and taking the stir to his left, had the chance to rest his right arm. Stirring twice clockwise and five times counter clockwise, he waved both of his arms to rest them. This was the only reason he disliked potions--they needed too much care. Maybe he should use a wand... though thay could prove to be a bad idea too, in case he hit something accidentally and set it off or something. Things happened, and he definitely didn't want any thing to happen in potions.

Summonning the knotgrass, he layed it on a wooden board and took out his silver knife. He cutted it as shown--which took him a while since it needed utmost care--he then got the shrivelfigs and lay the knotgrass to the side. Alright, no adding them yet. Putting on his gloves, he squished them in his hands to get as much into the cauldron and off your gloves as he could. Examining his gloves closely, he was pretty satisfied that almost all of the figs were gone. Taking the knotgrass, he ran it gently over his gloves. When he was done with that, he moved on too, as Lafay practically yelled that she was going on.

Yay, no squeezing leeches. The blondie was pretty satisfied with that news, and he had no desire to try it out himself. Dropping the required amount of drop into his cauldron, he added the five drops of pomegranate juice and voila! His steam was purple! He grinned to himself, but was rather displeasured when professor asked who wanted to learn. Well, as Marie pointed out, it was rather obvious that they all wanted to, since they came to this class. He didn't like it when professors were being illogical like that. And he didn't like it any better when the door was slammed open. Eyes travelling among the professor, Raiden and door, he thought for a second that he was going to leave right now, but the Slytherin was proven wrong. Hmm... That inspired an idea... since he didn't want to waste a phoenix tear just like Raide, he could make his point by leaving the classroom when they used phoenix tears... yeah. This wasn't going to cost them points, right? He didn't mind detention that much--he believed that you had to have a detention experience once in your school life--but he didn't want Slytherin to suffer. This wasn't going to stop the professor wasting the tears, after all. It'd just label him as "rebel", probably. Still, he'd make his point if he couldn't figure out any other way then.

Now, onto the new instructions...
