Nolan blinked, standing up from his mission to pick up the cards off the floor. "Well, erm, not necessarily...they can tell about horrible future events but not necessarily death, and it certainly isn't their main purpose," he explained.

Oh yeah, there was DEFINITELY some of that Babbling Beverage in the water today. That had to explain all these weird answers he was getting. o_O

She turned to the girl who mentioned the chariot and gave her a 'good job' nod.... Along with a smile/smirk/smug look....
Blink.

"Erm, no, the chariot card doesn't mean you need to RACE. If it did I'm sure many people would opt for a form of Divination where less effort was required to get a result," he said with a chuckle.

Note to self. Revise the textbook or something. He didn't know WHERE this stuff was coming from!

Right. There was a new question.

"The Moon, Professor," she said with her hand raised. "It is the 18th card in the deck and is often described as representing life of the imagination apart from life of the spirit."

Was scary Slytherin girl still glaring at her? Kurumi took a quick peak over her shoulder. Yep. *shiver*

Well that narrowed it down to one person...or more correctly ghost. Peeves! Simon almost rolled his eyes at the Polterguists actions having been witness to other sightings even though he hadn't spotted the ghost this time around. He turned his attention back to the professor in question when he spoke up and desplayed the two decks of cards, asking for descriptions on the more popular one.

"There is the Emperor and Empress cards, which usually mean some variation of power and love respectively," he answered.

Louisa was petrified when that ghost appeared. Although she was a witch and in a magical school, she'd never EVER get used to ghosts. That was it. She gasped loudly as the ghost (was it called Peeves?) dropping cards randomly. She silently crouched uner her seat and covered her head. This Peeves thing looked crazy enough to do something totally stupid and she WOULD NOT be fooled by a GHOST, OK? Heh.

"Here you go professor," she said extending the cards in her hand. Stupid rude ghost ruining her day.

That thing had taken forever to get through! She giggled a little at the writing on the board, and then turned back to her rather confusing notes. Confusing, because Divination was confusing. And her handwriting was almost illegible at the best of times, which this was not. She was too confused to write things neatly.

But.. tarot cards. Okay, THIS she knew about, at least. Her best friend had taken her to a taort lady person in Russia once. That had been... an interesting experience. But she remembered some of the cards that had come up on her reading 'Sir, they have the tower, which means a change, or upheaval... I think. And Death, which means - well, death, or change. And the Priestess, which is knowing' yeah. Though she wasn't knowing, and she certainly hadn't died. The change part was right, though - that had been the week before she was told they were moving to England.

Pfft. Now Peeves was throwing stuff everywhere? Viky was all for the writing on the board - hey, that was a little bit funny, at least - but that was uncalled for. She was sitting near the front, so a few cards landed around her. She picked them up, and held them out to the Proffessor. There were about five in her hand 'Here you go, Sir' she said wirh a polite smile

Alice bent down and picked up the cards that were around where she was sitting. She got up and headed towards Professor Reynolds. "Here you go Professor Reynolds. That ghost truly is rude!"

Em frowned as Peeves returned. Why couldn't he interrupt a boring class instead of one her favorites? Then he dropped a card on her. How Rude! She went to pick it up, but edge slipped along her finger and gave her a paper cut. "ouch!" she exclaimed, as she saw blood start to escape the cut.

Er, but this was a class....so....he stopped the clapping, and blushed again.

Picking out a card that was now on his right shoulder. "Er, how about the Sun, Professor?" he said, with a nod, "It represents energy, enlightenment, and all things that symbolize the sun, depending on how you interpret it" another nod, and another card was on his lap.

Haha. Fun!

"There is the Hanged Man card. It represents surrender, sacrifice, submission, letting go of something perhaps...anything related to that." Stuff like that. Hmm, for a subject she took no interest in, why did she keep reading about it? Surely it wasn't all because of Josh.

Or was it?

Raising a brow at the now visible peeves, Evelyn chuckled as the cards he picked up flew everywhere, dropping on people's heads, tables, and the floor.

Hmm yes, gotta love Peeves.

As long as he wasn't flicking spiders at them, it was all good. Glancing at the card landing on their table, she turned it over to see which it was before going back to staring at the professor. Was he going to freak out?

She knew Dodson would freak out, though Reynolds wasn't the Herbology professor. No matter how much they sorta looked a like.

"Good answers, to all of you!" he called as he stood up, his Celestial cards all in a nice deck once more, but as soon as he regained his balance...he saw the other deck was missing.

ARGGGGGGG!

Peeves was becoming harder and harder to ignore, especially when he grabbed the card deck off of Nolan's desk and started flinging it around the room. THE CHAOS! Nolan stood up and grabbed his wand. "Accio Major Arcana cards!" he said, watching the cards flew into a somewhat organized pile in his open palm.

"Thank you for picking those up," Nolan said with a smile as the students who had gotten hit in the head by his cards brought them up. He placed them back on his desk and looked up at Peeves. "PEEVES! Stop this nonsense, or I'll get the Baron to deal with you!"

He'd heard somewhere that that was a pretty good way to calm him down. Apparently he scared him or something.
