Keefer raised both of his hands into the air, just as always. "Professor, I believe that would be 'strike' if the ball was in the strike zone--that's the area over the plate that's under the batter's shoulders, but above the batter's knees. If the ball was outside that area, then the umpire will say 'ball.'"
