So now, not only are the balloons spewing shaving cream all over everyone, feathers are falling--feathers that will likely stick to the shaving cream and turn you into what appears to be a chicken...riding on a wooden stick...with the head of a horse.

Heather looked up at the students in front of her be attacked by-FEATHERS! forget moving faster! time to protect herself! she wouldn't want to get shaving cream and feathers on her! she moved ever so slowly, avoiding what she calls 'traps'. move to the left, "protego!" move to ther ight, "protego!" left"protego! right "protego" and it gets tiring...alas, she wasn't able to avoid some feathers that ran down her back and tickled her. she tried to get it off and was successful at it, and then some shaving cream made it into her right arm, when she did not notice a balloon burst near her. "oh well...it's just shaving cream..."she told herself and tried to brush it off before some feathers cling to it. now, what was that spell again to clean this up? "scourgify" she said and the mess disappeared. "great, heather, why didn't you think of this before?" she told herself but she had a smile on her face.
"protego!" she said once more, casting a shield to protect herself. "come on mixie! we can do this!" she said happily.

Then suddenly, a powerful wind begins to blow in the opposite direction from the one you're traveling in. It's a powerful force that attempts to blow you backwards and off your horse. You're nearly at the finish line, but...how will you get there with all the wind blowing against you?

and then, a gush of wind! if heather hadn't been quick, she would have lost balance and ended falling or be carried away by the wind. she was such a small lightweight person; a gush of wind could carry her so easily! Mixie pushed forward, determined not to let heather down, but heather's spirits were dampened now. she had no clue how to get pass the wind. "protego!" she said, but even if she had a shield, the wind could still push her back.

Swallowing hard, Kurumi took out her wand and with her most fluid swish and flick yet, said "Wingardium Leviosa" with confidence as her horse rose in the air. When it was only about a foot in the air, she said, "Fixate!" and the horse froze in place. She played with her side pony-tail for a moment as she chose a name for her horse. "Locomotor MURASAKI!" She smiled as her horse began to move forward. She jumped onto it and took off her cowboy hat and waved it above her head. This was going to be better than Defense Against the Dark Arts maybe.
Kurumi started to sing along to the music. Her father had played it every once in a while and was one of the few times she had seen her mother loosen up and dance in the house as she did some swing dance with Kurumi's father.
Kurumi had been enjoying riding on her floating horse and singing along to the music when all of a sudden she heard a loud POP! and felt something cold plop on top of her head. Instinctively, she reached up and felt something fluffy and wet. She put her hand in front of her face and saw something white and smelled strangely familiar. "Is this...shaving cream?" she giggled remembering the smell coming from the bathroom every morning her father shaved. There were balloons every where and it was only after one more exploded in her face did she realize she probably needed to either avoid them by flying in a different direction or use magic to protect herself. She opted for the magical option "Protego!" she yelled and thanked potions class for teaching her that one.
Kurumi found herself unable to see for a brief moment and when she had some visibility again, she was coughing up feathers and found that she looked like a multi-colored version of the canary she had turned into with Heather when they had eaten Canary Creams at the beginning of the term. "Scourgify," she said pointing her wand at herself to remove the shaving cream and feathers. At least now they wouldn't stick to her, but she found herself giggling as she continued to glide through the air like the sparkly purple grape she was. "Come on Murasaki, faster!" She laughed as her horse listened and shot forward a few feet.
Aw, the feathers were gone and that meant no more giggling for Kurumi. She frowned slightly as a sudden gust of wind blew against her face and caused her pony-tail to come undone. "Wha------," she tried to speak but found it almost too difficult to do. Murasaki tried to continue moving forward, but soon came to a stand still and started moving backwards. Oh no no no! Kurumi took out her wand and said the first spell that came to her mind, "Engorgio!" and Murasaki began to grow and grow until she was large enough that the wind seemed to have little affect on it and it started slowly inching forward again. Kurumi, now hanging onto the reins for dear life, looked down at the ground and began to regret her decision. "Just until the wind dies down," she promised herself as her feet dangled.
heather watched kurumi use the engorgio spell. it was a pretty smart move though, since the weight of the wooden horse makes it partially impossible for the wind to take it away. Heather looked at her horse. "hey mixie...we can do this, right?" she said and the horse tried to move forward once more as heather held out her wand. "PROTEGO!!" she shouted, just in case it made her shield a little stronger.
