Oh. Well Mia didn't know what to say to that. She could tell him that there must have been a reason but she really didn't know the circumstances of their relationship and so she wasn't going to speculate on anything. Mia paused and thought for a moment, "Yeah I get what you mean, the rest of the people at the commune think I am living with my grandfather and attending a normal school." The thing was if any of them knew what she and her father were, Mia was pretty sure they wouldn't care in the slightest.

"What do you like most about being a wizard?"

Carter laughed. Mia seemed to have a very nice upbringing. It must have been very environmentally friendly. And pretty much friendly in general.

"That sounds fun. Is your mum a muggle then?" he asked. "I kind of wondered what that would be like - you know - if someone would be raised more magic style or more muggle style."

What? He thought about odd things...

He then chuckled. "I'm sure you're not that bad." he said. "But my offer still stands. You're welcome to play." he said. "Who knows. It may help your coordination." he said with a shrug. "Plus we'll be playing for fun." so really, there was no need to worry how bad one played.

He smiled. "It's more like... what don't I like, you know?" he asked. "It's something that I kind of knew I was missing... the only downside is that I can't really share that with my family. It's kind of hard to describe something like quidditch to them."
