Hayley listened closely to his answer, just anticipating the 'no' that he probably would say but something else came out. Wait, he thought I wouldn't ask him?

Suddenly she looked back up at him and slightly smiled. "So is that a yes?" She asked curiously. It had to be, unless he was just kidding around.
