Holding the Marauder’s Map, James stopped in front of a door, a closed door on the sixth floor corridor. “Someone open it up, there should be a shortcut beyond it”.
Remus pulled his wand about to flick when Peeves zoomed through the door. Towards them.
“Oh bugger” Sirius muttered, feeling Remus quiver beside him.
Peeves swooshed and floated with his usual snickered laughter, “ooOoOOO if it isn’t you...group” he booed poo-hood to stop above them, “what are you doing out and about past curfew? Huh?”
James disposed the map and stared thoughtfully at the ghost...
“Talking a stroll” Sirius answered as if it was obvious.
“While sleeping” James added with a nod.
“Sleep Strolling?” Peeves raised a questioning brow not believing them one bit!
All the boys nodded.
Peeves shrugged.
Awkward moment of silence..
Peeves crossed his arms, Sirius looked dubious, Remus found an interesting spot on the floor, James continued to stare thoughtfully.
“I’m out of Biting Doorknobs” Peeves elucidated.
“We can arrange that” James answered since Sirius continued to be dubious.
“Then use a different door” Peeves shrugged and swooshed around the ceiling, “Professor Dumbledore sealed it, it is out of bounds” and zoomed out.
Marauders didn’t budge.
