"Come on up here, please," Tate gestured for her to join them. "I want all three of you to line up facing the class. Put your wand where you normally store it."
Alice nodded, making a mental note that summoning charms would work against a wand inside its holster. She watched as the volunteers walked up to the front of this class. This was going to be exciting, although she was still livid about the amount of house point that girl had lost them already!
After the two volunteers had stopped sending hexes at one another, which left Alice with her mouth hanging slightly open, Alice returned her attention to Professor Tate. He demonstrated to them a spell that sent colored bubbles shooting from his wand. Nervous and extremely hesitant, Alice picked up her wand and pointed it at the desk.
"Pingo green!" Alice said confidently, and jumped slightly as an enormous bubble shot from her wand, staining the table while she was knocked sideways off of her chair. Hoping no one noticed she quickly scrambled back to her seat, feeling more embarrassed than words could express.
