"A new pet!" Eirian beamed. "So did I!" Pulling her hair back, she revealed the little leopard gecko sitting on her shoulder. "This is Meio. You are not the first to meet him, sadly. A boy named Jimbo showed me his turtle. Do you have a turtle?" She liked turtles. And Jimbo was nice, too. Yes... But she liked Meio better. "I am not going to watch where I am going because I am in a library! I already said that, no?" Giggle. "I will always be confusing because I am a girl and you are a boy." Boys didn't understand girls, no matter what country they were in. "Terrible." Her partner was terrible.
