"Can I call you Lou?" he asked automatically, a small yet happier grin returning to his face. Truth was, she kind of seemed like a nice person and Professor Kingsley wasn't really... soft on people. He HAD given that girl detention after all, though it was hard to feel sorry for any of them considering they had irritated him to dock ten points.

Yeah, Ty was still mad about that. They were fourth place ALREADY and classes hadn't even begun. He wanted to WIN this year.

Er... What? Raising his eyebrows, Ty watched as she pulled out a pen and wrote something on paper. PAPER. He hadn't seen one in- well, actually, yesterday- but the point was that muggle paper had no place in HOGWARTS. It was magical. "Why are you writing with pen and paper?" he asked, honestly baffled. Ink, quills and parchments were just so COOL.
She looked at the boy when he asked and noticed that a lovely grin was drawn on his face. She nodded and grinned back. Moodswing. Heehee. "Yep, you can! It's actually my younger brother Johnny who calls me Lou all the time. He's three and didn't manage to say Louisa all the time." She rambled. The boy needed to know about her nickname of course.

She glanced down at the paper and pen and smiled, "It's strange that these make me feel comfortable more. I'm not used to quills and parchments yet. And I didn't attend any classes so I'm not forced to use those." She said and added with uncertain tone, "Right?" She couldn't afford another lecture from a Prfoessor if they weren't allowed to use papers and pens.

Anyways, Louisa hid them in her pocket and shifted the conversation to another level, "What year are you in, Ty?" She asked swinging her body around like any child would do when they were entertained enough.
