He held up the little white mouse, who blinked at them nervously with its black oilspot eyes. "Come now, who is in this with me? It's educational!"

He winked at them, his free hand ruffling his purple hair. "I had a thought, that we should do a test with three students. One should give their name to an of-age student to put into the cup, the next should try to levitate their parchment in and the third would use Puck here to carry it up into the cup. See what happens. Want to?" he grinned. "By the way, I'm Eli. Eli Jarod, Ravenclaw." He said this last word as though it his house made it evident that the plan was brilliant. He was a 'claw, after all! How could it fail?

Arya was liking Treyen more and more, he knew exactly was she meant. Something bad always happened in the tournament, and something bad was always happening at Hogwarts. The two were just a bad combination.

"The chances of someone getting hurt in the tournament are greater than the chances of the train crashing." She responded cheerfully, though not as cheerfully as he had. There was no changing her opinions about the tournament, and there was no way she was gonna stop worrying about her friends that entered.

"....I do want Hogwarts to win." She added belatedly, looking at Treyen. Just not at the expense of her friends.

Musing over Kellen's words about the Goblet, she almost missed the bit about using the mouse to test out the line's charms. Almost. "Don't use to mouse," She frowned slightly at the boy before her expression softened, settling on the white mouse. Educational or not, it was cruel. "We need to find some willing underaged student to test out line, not a cute little mouse."

Smiling at the thought, the girl was juuuuust about to reply but...

O...M...G...

Purple head was talking to her.

Raising a brow as he spoke, and continued to speak, Evelyn stood up to her full 5 foot 4 inches height (so scary i know), arms still crossed, and stared at the kid. Did he forget who he was talking to? Him being a Ravenclaw an all, this was a pretty stupid move.

"Why don't you yourself just walk up and stick your name in? Use an aging potion or something." Hehe, of course, it would be highly unlikely that it would work. The headmaster wouldn't be stupid enough to overlook a simple aging potion. Besides, she really wanted to know what would happen to someone too young that crossed the line.

Professor Maximus Vindictus would undoubtedly admire his fantastic academic curiousity and award him 50 points. Maybe 100. He was suave like that.

Eli's jaw dropped. He had been preoccupied with Puck and hadn't recognized... "She-snake!" he hissed under his breath, eyes narrowed. "You better watch you don't do anything to me or maybe I'll SHOVE you over the age line!"

Speaking of purple head, what did he just say to her? She-snake!? Was he the one that started that dang nickname!!!??

"Shove me over the age line? I don't think you and your little wimpy body can even budge me an inch." she laughed, sizing him up. Bahahaha! Less then an inch even. Half a centimeter?

Well, his expression definitely made her amused. It's like he had a memory charm placed on him over the summer and then he suddenly realized who he was talking to. Well duh, he should've recognized her a mile away! That way she wouldn't have had to stand here and talk to him.

Kellen couldn't say that Eli's plan was foolish, but it certainly wasn't foolproof either, and there was no way Kellen was going to be that of-age student putting someone else's name in the cup. For all he knew, the consequences of that would be worse than a firstie crossing the line.

"Arya's right," Kellen poked her in the side of the head again. "Whoever heard of using a mouse for experiments? What outlandish thinking." Poke poke.

But then things started to be all insults and such, and Kellen felt the need to throw in a cautionary word, "Keep throwing insults like that and you'll get a professor around here right quick. That'll send your experiment right out the window, Eli."

Kellen Stern was definitely no cheerleader. To think of him trying to be one was just... utterly disturbing. Raiden turned his attention to Treyen, giving the boy a quick nod. One of the things he remembered most vividly about the class last term was Treyen's... errrr... fear of the students turned into animals. Raiden had been human at that point again, after all. And poor Treyen had been harassed by creatures left and right.

"To cheer." Kellen rolled his eyes at Raiden, his tone of voice clearly asking what else Raiden thought he'd use pompoms for. "Obviously. I may not be putting my name in, but that doesn't mean I won't be participating in my own way. I'm thinking of charming them to shout stuff when people shake them, too."
