Ready?
Alicia sat awake that morning, her thoughts mixing with others running through her head. Emily thought that anything that had to do with Voldemort links it to Harry… Harry thought that he attacked Jamie’s uncle…
As everyone woke up, their trunks arrived so they could change into Muggle clothes for the trip to St. Mungo’s. Everyone apart from Alicia and Harry were laughing and joking as they boarded the train with Mad- eye and Tonks. Alicia sat between Jamie and Harry.
“
There isn’t any Seer blood in your family, is there?” Tonks said, leaning forwards to look at Harry. Jamie glanced a look at Alicia, whose face had hardened.
“
No” Harry mumbled.
“
No… No, I guess it’s not really prophecy you’re doing, is it? I mean, you’re not seeing the future- that’s Alicia’s job- you’re seeing the present… It’s odd, isn’t it? Useful though…” Tonks trailed off as Alicia stared at her, horrified. Emily, Draco and Jamie swapped looks.
Harry put a hand on her knee and she looked round at him. She opened her mouth and froze, her eyes turning pink. They were in the ward talking to Mr Weasley when she came round again, Draco looking very uncomfortable.
“
Well?” Emily whispered as they headed out of the ward. Alicia shook her head, a small frown on her face. Emily nodded and turned to glance at Jamie, who was watching Alicia carefully.
“
Fine… Don’t tell us anything” Fred said as Tonks closed the door behind her.
“
Looking for these?” George grinned as he held up the Extendable Ears. He handed them out, Draco taking his and staring at it. Emily started laughing.
“
It goes in your ear” Jamie whispered and Emily laughed harder.
“
Go on, Harry, take it!” Fred said as George wafted the string under his nose. “
You saved dad’s life. If anyone’s got the right to eavesdrop on him, it’s you…”
“
And you, Alicia… Come on, you know you want to” George said, shoving the string into her hand.
“
If I were you, I wouldn’t give up the day job…” She muttered and Fred snickered. “
I already know what’s going on…” She said, passing it back. Jamie glanced at Emily, who shrugged. “
You won’t like what you hear…”
She was right. Harry ripped the cord out of his ear, the colour rising in his face. Everyone was staring at him, fear on their faces. Emily and Jamie were sneaking glances at Alicia as she leaned against the wall, her eyes on Harry.
Well?
