Last week I attended a
meet and greet with Rupert Grint and a question & answer session at Apple, as part of the promotion for the DVD release of Cherrybomb, which is now out in the UK.
The meet and greet took place at the Sanctum Hotel in Soho, London, in the cinema room. Refreshments and cookies were on hand for the lucky few who'd made it into the event - roughly thirty people. The afternoon began with Rupert posing in a chair, with a few select fans, for press photographers. Shortly after, row by row, fans were invited to meet Rupert. This involved talking to him while he signed an item (SnitchSeeker brought a copy of the
Half-Blood Prince video game for the Wii, which we will be giving away in a contest and can be seen
here) and getting a photo taken with him. Given that it was his birthday the following day, we also gave him a present and a card. I asked him about V Festival, which had taken place the weekend previous and he told me he had tonsillitis, and so was on antibiotics the entire time. Once everybody had met Rupert, we launched into a question and answer session, with competition winners being chosen at random to quiz Rupert.
Next up was the Meet the Actor section at the Apple Store on Regent Street. Conducted by Edith Bowman, of BBC Radio 1, and interspersed with clips from the film, this event was more scripted, with audience questions taken at the very end.
Photos from both events, taken by me for SnitchSeeker, can be found

A video of the Rupert interview at the Apple store can be seen below (
note: there is a bit of strong language and contest in the
Cherrybomb clips);
Audio can also be found below;
Both the audio and video can now be downloaded at iTunes
