He heard when the tiny girl had started to gush over the thing. "Yeah, it'd be even cuter if it wasn't peeing all over the place." he mumbled. Turning back to the boy he said, "No, stranger. I will not take your turtle. Please take better care of your animals. Pets. Things."

Hey wait a minute. This is the guy that was all over Aaron's girlfriend. "Hey, man. Why were you all over Aaron's girlfriend, before?" You don't do that to Alex's friend.
