He could see the girl was clearly uneasy, something was quite obviously troubling her. Her smile was gone, and that glow that usually radiated so easily just from her presence alone was beginning to diminish. "A bit of the same," he replied with a small smile as she asked how he was feeling. What had just happened? Why were they feeling like this over a ring?

A body seemed to fall out of nowhere as a newcomer arrived, but he seemed not to notice. His eyes were on Lisette, his attention focused solely on her, on what could be troubling her and how he could be of any help. But... he wasn't sure what to do, how to go about this.

His brown eyes fell to the ring in his hand again, examining it for a moment before turning back to Lisette. "Can I have your hand?" he asked, holding out his own free hand. "I don't think it would be in your best interest to lose this, and though I would love to be of help and hang on to it for you, I doubt it would look all that nice on my fingers," he said with a small, just very mildly amused smile, his heart still beating faster than it had ever before. Or at least, as far as he could remember.
