New posty!

Emily found herself in front of the stone gargoyles before realizing she had even made it to the castle. “Chocolate Frogs,” Emily said quietly. The gargoyles leapt aside and she made her way up the winding staircase. She knocked quietly on the door.

“Enter,” she heard a voice say.

Emily opened the door and found Professors McGonagall and Dumbledore waiting. He motioned for her to take a seat beside McGonagall.

“Well, Mrs. Weasley, I assume you got back your scores,” Dumbledore smiled. “They were outstanding if I do say so myself,” he said.

“Yes, yes, they were quite good. We are here to talk about your options, Mrs. Weasley. I know that it is your intention to be a Healer and an Auror. You will need to take quite a load this year. Are you sure you don’t want to come back full time?” McGonagall asked.

Emily thought for a moment. “Would it be possible to come every day, but not stay here?” Emily asked slowly. “Like I’d show up for every class, but I wouldn’t actually live here,” she explained quickly. Emily looked away from McGonagall and up at Dumbledore.

“I think it could be arranged, especially with Tonks always being there,” Dumbledore said with a nod. McGonagall pursed her lips, but didn’t voice her opinions.

“Thank you, professor,” Emily said quietly.

“Alright, let’s see, you should be cleared to take all of your classes, Weasley. Now, it is going to be a bit difficult if you want to be both a Healer and an Auror,” McGonagall started.

“I’ve been thinking about that, professor. I think I’m just going to concentrate on being an Auror,” Emily interjected. McGonagall studied her a moment before nodding.

“Then yes, Charms, Defense Against the Dark Arts, Herbology, Potions, and Transfiguration are all fine. I must say that I was very pleased with your Transfiguration score. You and Miss Granger are the only ones who made perfect scores.” McGonagall smiled slightly before looking back down at her schedule. “Here’s your new schedule,” she said as she waved her hand over a new schedule to get rid of the Healer parts of the classes. Emily took the schedule from her outstretched hand and smiled at it.

“Thank you,” Emily said.

“I suggest you go to get your school supplies today. Don’t be late for your first class tomorrow,” McGonagall said as she left the room. Emily nodded and then glanced at Dumbledore. He examined her over his glasses.

“That will be all for now, Emily. I will be seeing you soon,” he smiled at her. She noticed that he looked a bit sad as she left the office.

She made her way outside, deciding she’d go and sit by the Black Lake before she went shopping. She sat underneath her tree and watched the Giant Squid throw around a seventh year. She smiled as she thought about all of the fun times she had out here.

“Glancing down memory lane?” asked a voice quietly from behind her. She jumped a little before turning her head. “Follow me,” he whispered. He turned on the spot and began walking toward the forest, away from any onlookers.

Emily glanced around, hesitating. Sighing, she stood up and followed Draco into the forest. She cursed herself mentally for her decisions, but stuck by it.

“What do you want?” she asked quietly as she came to a stop behind some shrubs.

“Advice,” he whispered.

“About?” she asked.

“Thanks for the invitation by the way. I guess congratulations are in order,” he whispered, staring at her wedding band.

Emily shifted her feet uncomfortably before meeting Draco’s eyes. They were cold and hollow, but she also sensed that he was afraid. “What’s happened to you, Draco?” she whispered as she stared at his worry line above his eyebrows. His hair was more unkempt than usual and he was even paler than normal.

“Nothing you need to worry about,” he said coldly.

Emily huffed. “I don’t know what’s going on, but—”

“Exactly, you don’t know what’s going on. So, don’t go trying to put in your two cents, Emily. You don’t get that say anymore,”
he replied.

Emily looked at him for a long while before breaking the silence. “You’re right. So, why don’t you go ask Pansy for advice,” she said as she walked off, leaving him alone in the forest.

Deciding she wasn’t in the mood for anymore unwanted company, she left the Hogwarts grounds and walked through Hogsmeade. She didn’t linger with Tonks and went to the Three Broomsticks. She ordered herself a Firewhiskey and found a small, round table by the back.

Taking a swig, Emily’s throat burned at the taste. She recognized a few Hogwarts’ professors. She couldn’t remember their names because she never took any of their classes. They all glanced at her from time to time. Evidently, they knew her. She couldn’t take the looks anymore and left the pub. She made her way over to a bench in the middle of the square. She sprawled across it, her bottle in her hand, as she watched the different clouds configure in the sky.

“This isn’t the safest place for you, you know,” a voice said from behind her.
