"Thanks," Jake grinned toothily. It felt really good to get some praise, but what he really wanted to go around and totally surprise people. Of course, now this meant that more would be expected of him. Dangit!
"I cccan come suhh-see you alot this sssummer as well," he pointed out, realising what an awesome idea that would be. Yeah, Vannie was cool, and Jake needed to catch up properly.
When she mentioned him still being a kid, Jake smiled coyly and nodded.
"I'm ggglad someone thuhh-thinks so."
As another kid came over to speak to Vannie, Jake stayed quiet all polite and stuff so she could do her job.
