She didn't think there was anything worse than finding your boyfriend in the arms of another girl... until she learned her boyfriend was taking another girl out of the country with him... and the girl happened to be her worst enemy. "Well whatever you do I'm sure it will be more exciting than what I will be doing." Yeah, anything had to be more exciting than sitting at home wondering what your boyfriend was doing... or if you even had a boyfriend. "Yeah, I can only imagine what Destiny would be like at home. I'm just not in the mood to find out right now." Heck, she wasn't in the mood for anything this summer, not even going to her grandparents which was usually always fun.
Well crap, she still didn't know if Carter was on the train. "Oh, I haven't seen him since the feast either... when I walked out on him.. She said as she hugged her legs tighter and put her chin back on her knees. Well she did see him again when Destiny drug her back into the Great Hall, but she didn't talk to him.
Why did it seem like all her summers started with heartbreak? Oh right, because they did. Patroclus could see he was fighting a losing battle, Marie seemed to be stuck in a pool of negativity, one from which she could not escape, and the boy was positively clueless on how to act. "You walked on him, wh-" Patroclus' shock momentarily had the beeter of him, however the boy broke off half way through his sentence, "Sorry its not my place to ask?"
Carter had been one of Patroclus first friends at Hogwarts, and from getting to know him better, Patroclus was sure whatever was happening between his fellow lion and Marie was all a misunderstanding, "I will say, however I am sure whenever Carter is, He is missing you, and is sorry for whatever he has done!"
It was all the boy could say, he wasn't going to take sides, he cherishe both of their friendships, so he thought it best just to sit, and watch the country side slowly populate. |
