And what kind of advice?

"Good advice of course."

Celandine smiled at Jacob, completely oblivious to his discomfort. He was just PRECIOUS wasn't he? She wanted to give him hugs.

She restrained herself though.

"Its true." She nodded. "I'll go first." She suggested.

Celandine was all gracious smiles as she let the silence grow.

"I'll give you all one piece of advice for every single year." She decided. "So for my first year..."

She beamed around at them.

"If you're going to experiment with charms that you learn in class, and its likely to make things explode or cause bodily injury, wait until after the class has finished and wait until the professor isn't looking."

That was a good one. She was so sure.

Now. Her second year.

"Next, if you're going to do something super epic, like sliding from the top of the moving staircases to the bottom in one go, make sure you plan the landing too. Cushioning charms are good and its much more fun when you eat a whole lot of candy first."

Hem hem.

"In my third year, I learned that you shouldn't kiss boys in trees, and if you're going to, then you should make sure there aren't any professors nearby when you fall out of the tree on account of the kiss being that good." Another pause and she added as an aside, "And Ravenclaw boys ALWAYS kiss good." She shot a little smile at Jacob.

"In my fourth year, I learned that if you're going to sit near Slytherins in the Quidditch stands, make sure they don't have fireworks and if they do and they let them off, make sure you have boys around to stop you from falling out of the stands." Pause, "And to paint themselves blue when you end up playing Quidditch instead of shaking your pom-poms. I also learned that you can totally win a duel using spells that most people wouldn't think of using in a duel, you just need to be creative, or bat your eyelashes and be cute enough that your opponent gets distracted and can't cast on you." Good advice all of it. It was. She nodded at Arya and Ivory.

But then she got more serious.

"In my fifth year, I learned that its good to question things. Everyone can be wrong." Pause and pout, "Even me. Sometimes. Not that often. I mean, I'm usually right."

Like, 98% of the time.

"In my sixth year I learned that even your closest friends can let you down." She made another face, this one more thoughtful, "And that I'm stronger than I thought I'd be when I was on my own, but I like being strong with others much better." She peeeked at Arya and Ivory. She was thinking of the dueling stuff. And her kidnapping. And her best friends in the whole wide world not even noticing that she'd gone missing for weeks. It had been a huge blow to Cela and really shaken her view of the world.

She straightened in her seat.

"This year I learned that standing up for what you believe in is the most important thing. Standing up for others, and helping people who can't help themselves is rewarding. Being part of a team makes you a stronger individual and sometimes you have to break rules in order to stand up for what is right."

Lafay. Of course. Cela had definitely stood up against her.

She smiled happily. "Besides, you know I totally think I aced my Potions NEWT even after everything and I don't owe her any credit for that."

Cue hair flip.

Jacob watched Cela as she started. He was barley listening to her, his mind started to wander thinking about going back to the island after Cela said she was going to Fiji.

Okay first peice of advice. So far that was an awesome peice, 'do experiments with charms learned in class because they'll make stuff explode' cool! Jacob was sure to do that. If you ever see an explosion, there is a very high chance that Jacob would be close by.

Wait was he supposed to be writting this stuff down... oh well. Then she started on the second year. okay so 'do something super epic like slide down the moving staircase in one go after eating lots of candy' That sounded like fun! This was awesome advice. So he'll be sure to ask Patroclus to help him figure something like next time Jacob sees him. The Gryffindor should probably be brave enough to help him think of and do something that stupid and dangerous.

That third one Jacob heard the entirty of. He just sighed and shook his head. He had a feeling that the rest wont be as good as the first two were.

But he was wrong... for the most part. 'take fireworks to quidditch games and make sure that there are slytherins around to fall out of the stand' that was a very good one especially since they should have beat the slytherins and gone to the championship match.
But the sencond part was pretty weird, Jacob looked at Cela with a confused look on his face. 'bat your eyelashes during duels' that was... weird. But hey who knows it was worth a shot. Never know the people could be weirded out and just stare at you like your a freak giving you time to attack.

Then the next was just crazy. "Wait, You can be wrong?" This was news to Jacob. When did that happen? Cela... Wrong. It was nonsense

Number six never trust anyone! good, he's already a step ahead.

Now the last. Attack Lafay whenever you can as a team. That was weird for Cela to say imply, but then again she isn't head girl anymore.

"Thank you very much for that" ....... Good.... "Interesting advice" yeah, so he had to remember, Charm explosions, fireworks and ask Patroclus to help figure out something stupid and dangerous to do next term.
