Her blood must have been the thinnest blood in the world. "I bet my blood's almost a solid it's so thick." he grinned. "It's thinker than syrup." Wow, why were they talking about this? It was so.. random. But then again, random was practically Jay's middle name.. so maybe this fit. "Yes, the thickness, or thinness of our blood makes all the difference in our body temperatures.

Jay took another sip of his water bottle as he stared at Eiri from the corner of his eye. She looked like she wanted to scream after he had put the water bottle against her leg and he couldn't help but grin at her reaction because, well.. it was totally something that Eirian would react badly to. "Hypothermia? This water bottle isn't going to give me hypothermia. What would make you think that?" he questioned her. "Oh, you meant the weather outside. Eirian, it's summertime over here. This is the hottest it gets all year so i am most definitely not going to get hypothermia, i promise you that."

"Yeah, i meant my girlfriend and then my actual girl," Long pause. "friends. It's not that hard of a concept." he teased. Oh, how he loved to tease her. It would never bore him. "Ah, you have quite the name there. One of the longest i've heard." No wait... someone else he had met had multiple names. Er... what was her name.. Bah, he couldn't remember. "You welsh people have too long of names. You need to shorten them." Jay gave her a nudge playfully. "You do! Don't deny it. He's like your best friend, but better." he grinned. Oh how Jayce loved to play these games. "I think i'd be right and you'd be wrong." he smiled. "I know you better than you know yourself."

"Oh you know i'll put up with you. You're pretty much my only friend. If i had other friends, it'd probably be a different story." he teased her again. Tease, tease, tease. "You know i'm joking. I'd do anything for you and Trixie. It's just how i am." he smiled at her. It was a nice smile, one of his finest. "Hey, those other guys don't count. Only if i can pronounce them. Which i highly doubt i can. So there." he said, crossing his arms for effect even though he had a playful smile on his face.

"Yeah, i guess you're right. It is a tad bit awkward to talk about with your best friend." Yeah, especially when they were of the opposite gender. That was awkward. "Yes! Plans for the summer. Sounds good." he smiled. Anything to change the subject would work for him. "Well, besides looking for my mom," he said it the American way, hoping it would bother her. "We should... go... Err... what is there to do near you house? Is there a beach or a pool or something?" he asked curiously. Anything would be fine with him of course.

"Opal? She's in my backpack. I shrunk her down and put her in there with plenty of stuff to eat. She's getting to big to carry now." Jayce took his backpack off of his back, and opened it to show Eirian that Opal was truly inside. She was about the size of a rat and sitting there, staring up at them happily. "See? She's fine. Anyway, where's little fino? And.. you're bird... who's name i don't know."
"You have marble for blood," Eirian replied, snorting. "Although, I have yet to see you go through winter... You probably freeze to death. And you'd die in Brazil. You know, no one to talk to, too hot your someone as thick as you..." Yup. Another double meaning. Bahaha! "Well, it's almost bearable," she replied, pouting. "I'll never be able to swim in this weather...."

"It's not such a hard concept," she agreed, shrugging. "But you certainly get along better with girls. Any reason, Jay-Jay (the Jetplane)? Maybe you're just too sensitive. It probably has something to do with the long hair." She reached up, pulling on his brown hair lightly. Then, her hand strayed back to her own, playing with one curly lock aimlessly. "You don't want to hear my full name. I don't, either. I don't even know it... My grandmother insists on writing it whenever she addresses me on paper. Eirian Nerys Verona.... something something something... Vaughn."

Grunt. Trixie. Blah. She'd pointedly ignore that part of their conversation. "Well," she murmured, "there's not much. There's a lake out back, but there's really nothing to do. Nothing at all." Wales was so boring. "We might be able to go into town, I suppose..."
