"About this date," she added, tones light-hearted. "Leave me a note because I tend to forget and go sailing or something. Oh, and please remember the flowers." She was teasing, though. She wouldn't really mind if he did forget. She was only going to see if he made the effort or not. Simple things like that can tell one a lot about a man.

Damien chuckled once again and shook his head slightly. "I am not so sure about the macho man part... I think most people find me rather soothing to be around actually. I reserve that demeanor for the job alone. Although if word gets out that I am a seasoned veteran then I think that might be alright... I can protect you nonetheless," he said.

Then she said she needed to get going... He fought the urge to grab her and whisk her away with him right then and there. "THat is understandable. I suppose I can wait to see you again. I will indeed be sending you a reminder and don't worry. I never forget anything," he said as he took her hand and brushed his lips gently across her knuckles.
