The final comment was said pointedly, intended to wound him. He was being a git, trying to look responsible infront of everyone else. She was actively ignoring Eben and therefore missed his amusement at her fall. She started to sashay towards the house. "Hello Mr Cavanaugh, please excuse me, I want to talk to Pandora." She smiled at the babies and then walked off to the castle. Malachi's mouth dropped open a little at Frida's comment. "I'm always nice." 'Be nice,' he thought, 'It's like having a wife to tell me off!' That thought sobered him considerably and he stayed silent until he saw Ronan walking towards him. "Ronan, hello." Malachi didn't extend a hand since Ronan had his arms full of babies. "Eben is Sinead Wallace's boy, Pandora's old friend." Malachi explained when Ronan seemed surprised that Eben was there. "Didn't Curi tell you she invited him?" Malachi stepped forwards and put down the bags, tickling first Roisin and then Tristan on the cheeks. "Hello cheeky monkeys." He smiled at them. "Hello."
Roisin giggled when she was tickled, blinking in the sunlight. She reached out towards Malachi but he moved away before she could touch him. Malachi looked back at Frida when he heard the dreamy quality of Frida's voice. He hadn't heard her sound that way before. "I'm great, thanks." He stepped towards her and dropped his voice low. "Are you going to come and say hello to Ronan and the babies?" He knew that this would be difficult for Frida, even if he had no idea why. "Hello Esme." Ronan said smiling to the red headed girl and then turning his attention back to his other guests. He watched the interaction between Malachi and Frida but kept his opinions to himself. "Ah yes, I do believe that Pandora might have mentioned your mother once or twice." the young man said, grinning to Eben graciously. "It is a pleasure to have you come to our home. And it is a shame that your mother could not come and visit." Eben watched Esme walk off, fighting the urge to follow her like he always did and taunt her about falling facedown in the grass because of the ridiculous shoes she had. But there was no need to make a scene...yet.
He looked awkward standing there as Mister Brown gave him an introduction to Mister Cavanaugh. "It's a pleasure to be invited, sir." the young boy replied politely and then glanced over to the castle behind him. Wow, these people must be filthy rich. It probably wouldn't hurt to a pay a little visit inside. "If you'll excuse me." Eben said, walking past the group of adults and towards the house. Tristan grinned when Malachi tickled him and flailed his arms around in delight. The sun felt good on his skin even if it hurt his eyes a little bit. He looked around wondering where Mummy was because he missed her a lot. SPOILER!!: pippa Quote:

She hadn't yet met Ronan, yet Pandora she had, and work most certainly hadn't been the same without her. Especially now as she found Alyssa had upped and left the department aswell.
She ran a hand quickly through her blonde locks to sort out any fly-away hairs, and any pieces of grass stuck in there from the apparation. Whilst doing that, her eyes clocked the castle before her, and noteably her jaw did drop. It was... just... Wow. Could you really deny it of that word? No, no you couldn't.
Erk. The blonde sneezed once and then rolled her eyes. Bloody apparation, she had never quite managed it without getting something tickling her nose, and therefore sneezing. How crappy?
Looking around her, she admired the surroundings before she laid eyes on others outside. "Malachiiiiiiiiii?" She called lightly, making her way -without wobbling- in his direction. So far, he was the only person she knew here. Apart from Pandora obviously, she just wasn't out here yet.
AHH! Babies! Pippa chuckled softly as she lolled her head to once side and screwed her face up in an attempt to entertain them. Looking up from them she smiled at the man holding them and nodded. "You must be Ronan? I'm Pippa Norcott." Ex- coworker of your wife. Yada. Yada. Yada.
Ronan turned his attention to a rather entertaining blonde that had appeared as of late to the party. Not being able to recognize her, Ronan concluded that it was Pippa Norcott.
His assumption was only confirmed when she announced who she was. "Ah yes, Pippa a pleasure to meet you. I'd shake your hand, but you can see that both of mine are a little preoccupied." the young man explained grinning. "This is Roisin and Tristan. You know Malachi, of course, and next to him is Frida Bok." Let's get everyone acquainted. SPOILER!!: frida Quote:

Her expression changed to one more serious, "You address your father by his first name?" That was something she hadn't heard before...from a child...ever. "Speaking of manners, you need to learn some respect." This girl was dragging Frida's less endearing qualities out of her. Had Frida ever spoken to her parents like that, she would have had a mouth full of soap...or worse, slugs.
Frida sighed slightly and gave Malachi a pat on the hand, and offered him a kind smile, hoping that it would make him feel better. "You are..." Frida watched Esme walk off towards the castle. "Maybe too nice." She hadn't really intended for her words to come out, having thought that they were only in her mind.
Frida let go of Malachi's arm and stayed back. The sight of the little ones was making her head hurt for some reason, though the draught seemed to be cancelling out a few select memories.
Frida smiled sweetly and again, secured her strap that was over her shoulder. 'Least I have something to...to...' Everything slowed down again, and her vision blurred. And then the world seemed like a place of butterflies and puffy clouds. Nothing there was sad, or mean, or even harmful. Frida was perfectly happy.
Things sped up again just as Malachi spoke to her. "Hmm?" She said and gave her 'friend' a glassy look, though there was a smile on her face. "Of course I will." Frida's voice was cheery and light, as it usually was when she was at her best. "They're beautiful, Ronan." Frida said as she stepped forwards and looked closely at the twins. "Absolutely breathtaking." Without a seconds thought, Frida leaned forward and pecked Ronan on the cheek, "Congratulations. Can I hold one? Where is Pandora?" Her words came spilling out of her before Frida was able to think clearly...which she couldn't do too well anyway. She didn't have a care in the world.
Another woman arrived on the lawn just as Frida was going to reach out and take one of the babies anyway. With or without Ronan's consent. "Hi!" Frida said cheerfully to the new face, and grabbed Malachi's arm instinctively. "I don't think I've met you before. I'm Frida Bok." She extended her right hand in greeting. It was so lovely to meet new people!
Ronan beamed as Frida complimented his and Pandora's children. They were just perfect weren't they? He smiled down at the twins and only just stopped himself from tearing up from happiness. "Oh yes, you can hold Roisin." he said holding out his baby girl tentative that she would start screaming in protestation. The young man held his breath, waiting for the young woman to take ahold of his child. "Pandora? She's in the house seeing to the caterers. I'm sure she'll be out soon to see to everyone."
