I agree with Tom. In the 7th book you can definitely see that Draco is not just a mean person. His parents had affected the way he turned out to be. I have to admit that I thought he was a bad person until I read the last two books. He was really lost in the 6th book because Voldemort told him to kill Dumbledore as a revenge to Lucius. And when he was supposed to kill Dumbledore I realised he's different. He's better than that.

I've always thought that Draco wanted to help Harry and the others at the Malfoy Manor and it was really hard for him because he couldn't. I felt sorry for him at that part. His parents had taught him to be on Voldemort's side but eventually they all realised what Voldemort really is.

Draco's case reminds me of Snape. My hate for him was huge until I found out that Snape was actually a hero. This is just my point of view...
