She was probably still a foot shorter compared to him even with her pumps on. That's a bit of the reason why she wore heels everyday. To look taller than her normal 5'3 self. She always was teased during schooling, playful teasing, of course. They called her 'Little Fionn Elefina Elf' It was a nickname that stuck.

She smiled though and sat down across from him, crossing her legs underneath the table at her ankles. She kept her shoulders back and back straight. Proper manners and posture. She was raised well. She chuckled though at his comment on her job position. "Well, when you have an ex boyfriend who was a werewolf, you can handle any type of beast you get thrown at you." Did she really just bring up her little slip of dark past? She smiled lightly and took another sip of her coffee. Thank the heavens for lipstick that didn't stain her mug. One piece of magic she loved. "Oh? How is your department? Is it all paperwork and interrogations?" She had heard something like that. Unless it was just a little mix up.
Dorian raised an eyebrow momentarily as Fionn took his offer, and sat down across from him. Yet again. It was like they were developing a habit of having a table between them, but he was more intrigued by her obvious habit of keeping perfect posture and all. He'd never seen someone quite so proper, but then it hadn't exactly been like he'd been spending time with aristocrats lately. Not when he'd been traveling chasing Gabriel, and even now, he still tended to stay to himself more often than not. Starting to work here had begun to relax him a little, but he knew he still had a long way to go.

The eyebrow didn't relax, however, as she spoke. "A werewolf ex-boyfriend," he repeated, curiously. That sounded like a story, possibly to match his own. Although he'd wager there was less insanity involved. And he wasn't about to talk about his own past any time soon. Unconsciously mirroring her tactic of taking a drink to disguise the awkward pause, he grinned as she finally changed the subject to his department. "Oh, right now I think some of us would be thankful for even paperwork. We're generally looking for anything to do, since it's been oddly slow. Not too many interrogations either," he said. Unless you wanted to count ben and his ridiculous tests. Random trivia didn't help when it came to law enforcement, unless it was just to exercise the brain. But there were so many other ways to accomplish the same goal.
