She looked away for a moment, so as to not appear stupid, and compulsively touched her glasses. Then she began to laugh. It started out very quiet, then rose. After a moment, she tried to re-gain her breath and turned back to face him.
" A 'lookout'?" She smiled widely again, "That, my friend, is a good one." She started to laugh again, raising a hand to her head, then quickly composed herself. "Alright, Mister Jarod, you've got yourself a -" giggle "-a lookout." Ari quickly got to her feet, jerking the cane downwards and with five fast clicks, it had extended to it's full length. "Alright," She repeated in a squeaky mumble, a smile still spread across her lips. "To the kitchens."
Eli glanced back - that Ari girl was cracking up with laughter. Whuuuut? 'A good one?' Why was that good? Weeeeird. But she had cool boots, and she called him mister. That was good enough for Eli.
Apparently the wand-thing was actually a folding cane, which just added to the coolness of Ari. He wondered if it had an embedded wand in the handle or could be used as a broom or anything like that; that would be wicked! He grinned back at her.
"To the kitchens!" What a fabulous battle cry!
He left the common room; Adventure, Ho!
ooc-and he's off to the corridor!
